Mercusys MW306R 300 Mbps Multi-Mode Wireless N Router is designed as a 2.4 GHz wireless solution for homes that need stable connectivity for multiple everyday devices. It supports wireless speeds up to 300 Mbps according to IEEE 802.11n specifications, which can be used for activities such as HD streaming, online gaming, web browsing and file downloads within typical household environments. The unit is equipped with three external 5 dBi high gain antennas that work together to increase reception and signal sensitivity, helping to deliver broader coverage and more consistent links to rooms throughout a living space. Multi-mode capability allows the MW306R to be configured as a standard router creating a wireless network from a wired internet source, a range extender repeating an existing Wi-Fi signal, an access point converting a wired network segment to wireless or a WISP client that connects wirelessly to an ISP network where cabling is not available. Network management functions include active parental controls for setting appropriate access policies, limiting online time for specific devices and supervising internet usage.
